 Information on Thurmond Lake

We are 20 miles North of Augusta off Highway 28.  We are situated between the Modoc Corp of Engineers  Campground and Hamilton Branch State Park.

When you arrive at Modoc from the South take a left on the first road after the Post Office.  This is Gilchrist Ferry Road.  Follow the signs to McCarty Dr. and turn Right.  The check-in office is the first driveway on the left on McCarty Drive.

When driving South from McCormick look for Bussey's Store just after the Modoc Baptist Church.  Turn Right on Gilchrist Ferry Road and go to the first and only road on the Right which is McCarty Drive.  119 is the first drive on the left on McCarty Drive.
